MET/Duncan Society Event - Developing a Natural Health Service
Taking place on Tuesday 22nd September, MET held a joint event with The Duncan Society featuring an interesting lecture by Paul Nolan OBE, Director of The Mersey Forest on 'Developing a Natural Health Service' including information on the Forest School approach, the research avenues and partnerships being utilised and how monetary value is placed upon such Natural Health Service principles. Also, at the evening commencement, a Duncan Medal Award presentation took place, with the recipient being Dr Geoff Woodcock. The Duncan Medal is presented to those who have played an important role in the contemporary public health movement in the City of Liverpool. Geoff was surprised and humbled to receive the award and MET would like to congratulate him on this award in recognition of his achievements across his career.
Paul Nolan subsequently prepared a paper from the presentation, explaining the plans in more detail.
